I had the privilege of attending two awesome pageants recently. I attended the Miss Northern Ontario Regional pageant in Sudbury Ontario, as well as the Maritime pageant in Moncton New Brunswick. Traveling to new places and meeting the amazing people is a memory I will hold so close to my heart forever,
I started this fun journey in Winnipeg Manitoba on may 8th. I flew from Winnipeg to Sudbury. I met up with Hanna Miss World Canada at the Sudbury airport, big thanks to Maya (Miss North Ontario 2018) for coming to pick us up at the airport. Now that we are finally in Sudbury the journey begins. Later on that day we began to set up for the pageant. I was beyond excited.
The following day we met the beautiful delegates competing for the title of Miss North Ontario. We went on some fun excursions around Sudbury. I loved visiting a trampoline park. Later that evening we had a blast at the pyjama pizza party. My favourite part of that day was the essence competition where each delegate has the chance to tell a story about there life, it gets very deep, and it bonded all the delegated.
The girls I met were truly amazing and I had a blast. The final show was wonderful. Everyone looked stunning, and shined on stage. I was so sad when it was all over. Huge congrats to all the beautiful ladies.
The Sudbury trip comes to an end and it is time for Hanna and I to head back to her hometown of Vaughn Ontario. We relaxed for 2 days before heading too Moncton on the 15th. We woke up early and made our way to the airport.
When we finally arrived in the maritimes and began getting ready for the pageant out in the east coast.
The following day after we arrived we got to meet all the wonderful girls competing at the maritime pageant, and watched them begin rehearsals. Hanna and I loved exploring the maritimes as none of us have ever been there before. It is so colourful and beautiful down in the maritimes. I fell in love.
After the days of rehearsals and events, the preliminary and talent night had come, the girls shined on stage. I was blown away by all the talent. The following night was finals and everyone looked so beautiful in their gowns. Once the night was over we had to pack our things for an early flight back to Toronto. This is where I had to say goodbye to Hanna for the next month. I made my way home back to Manitoba, for now.
I am so grateful for travelling to these amazing places, and the people I met. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
xoxo Kate
